Ballantyne Women’s Collection Fall Winter 2010-2011

Ballantyne. The culture of cashmere expressed with the highest possible quality. And now cashmere from a new perspective. With the savoir faire and irony that only a brand with the experience of Ballantyne can transmit.

A desecrating interpretation at times, with highly contemporary effects.
The women’s collection for next fall/winter proposes a new wardrobe concept that lies somewhere between craftsmanship and the future. Produced entirely from precious cashmere knitwear. Versatile pieces to mix and match. Openly inspired by other worlds, usually in other materials and now reinterpreted in cashmere with unparalleled sartorial expertise and processing techniques.

In its research, Ballantyne invents new classics. The triple set. Three extremely light pieces. Three knits in different shades to wear on top of each other and create your preferred colour spectrum. Ultramodern version of the twin set: mini cardigan with removable placket or single two-layer piece that can also be worn as a twin set.
And then oversize and enveloping sweaters matched with dynamic and informal garments, from cargo pants with maxi pockets to miniskirts with rivets. On top, the leather biker jacket, trench coat or quilted jacket. The tuxedo is both elegant and fun. The old sailor's coat is the epitome of comfort. All full fashioned in navy, greige, and white with touches of black cherry.

The Ballantyne wardrobe also takes in glam rock and the music scene of the 70's and 80's. With iconic sweaters that reinterpret the covers of some of the most famous LPs of the era. From The Clash to David Bowie and the Sex Pistols. Images realised with refined intarsia hand processing. In navy, vinyl and rubber shades.

Technological novelty of the collection, the “integral” knits completely free of stitching thanks to special seamless processing.

For the accessories, micro bags in cashmere. Scarves, gloves and hats also in cashmere. Three styles of footwear: boots, ankle length boots and decolletes.
